How Cruel

This will be the third time that I am missing the opportunity to see the Editors within the year! Yet this time is the closest! The day I arrive in Glasgow the band is set to perform alongside Snow Patrol (another band that crushed my heart when they failed to accompany Coldplay on the Canadian leg of their American tour) at Bellahouston Park... Life is soooo mean!

Oh Edinburgh! How I have missed you!

Flight Stress

So my departing flight has been changed to leave at 8:30 instead of 10:10... I'm not complaining at the earlier time but it makes me nervous because i randomly checked on the airlines site and found out this information... meaning that they didn't send me an update!!! I know it is all up to passenger responsibility to check beforehand but it just makes me nervous that the flight is going to change dramatically without my knowledge... crazy!!!

What to pack?

I always thought that it would be easier to pack in the summer (for some odd reason) but it is proving to be just as troublesome as any other time of the year! The obsessive need to compliment tops with shorts, skirts with shoes, dresses with jackets and my odd desire to find the use all cardigan is proving futile... so NEVER let anyone lead you to believe that summer travel packing is easier then winter!

One week to go from today (my flight leaves in exactly one hour and one week from this moment) and hopefully I will leave with a well co-ordinated wardrobe! One can dream...

Country Count

I just realized that this trip will double the number of nations that I have visited from 4 to 8! From small town Canada I have been able to visit the US, England and Scotland and now, after having been to the UK twice, I'm finally taking the leap to the European Continent! Not a bit leap but nevertheless exciting!! I haven't even set foot out the door and I'm already lining up options for my next departure! Whos up for Italy!?! I know I am!

Europe Here I Come!

With 28 days left to spare, the itinerary for my trip has finally been set. After several changes and drastic overhauls we (my sister and I) have set upon Germany, France, Luxembourg and Belgium! And after three weeks gallivanting across the continent, we’ll be returning to Scotland for a week! The time can not pass quickly enough!

Absolutely Fabulous!

Wishing I was there...

So I was watching MTV, which regretfully is one of my good ol' pastimes, and I came across the promo for the new show, The Buried Life, in which four guys essentially act upon their 'bucket lists.' And in my deep and thoughtful way... I began to think about the things that I wish to do in my life. And what do you know, i happen to have some deep hidden desires, and one of these just so happen to be to make it to each Tennis Major! I know this may appear to be a tad bit ridiculous but think about it!!! Melbourne, Australia in January
Paris, France in May/June
London, England in June/July
New York, America in August/September

Its perfect! And I'm 1 in 4! Two years ago I made my way across the Atlantic to The Championships at Wimbledon! And if you believe it I was in New York three years ago during the US Open... and believe me I will never forgive myself for not getting down to Flushing Meadows! But eventually I will get to all of them!

Flight Booked

Oh sweet, sweet Edinburgh! How I have missed you!

After months of anticipation I'm officially making my third straight return to Europe this summer! Although.... wait for it... this summer is going to be extra fantastic! My fabulous sister will be graduating from the University of Edinburgh on July 2nd?!?!? (i think) Anyway, she will be a certified teaching monster!! Watch out children! Although this is extremely exciting, the month preceding her grad is going to be far better! For her and I will be travelling through France, Belgium, Germany and possibly Austria or Czech Republic! (we haven't decided yet... any suggestions?) Then we will be flying back to Edinburgh and taking a tour of the highlands!

So after my long break from writing I'll hopefully be updating far more regularly! Giving updates on the trip and posting anything exciting that comes to mind!
